Role Summary

This position directs and manages the daily activities of the Ticket Office and ticketing operations for athletic events. The incumbent develops, implements and assesses the sales strategy, ticket distribution, and ticket allocation; manages game-day ticketing activities; and provides operation and customer service guidance and training to staff. 

Examples of Work Performed

• Manages ticket sales, allocation and coordination of seat assignments, and distribution of season tickets and single tickets. 
• Plans, organizes, administers and implements ticketing operations and assists in game-day management activities as they relate to tickets and coordination of activities. 
• Provides resolution to customer complaints or problems for season ticket holders and other customers. 
• Establishes and implements policies and procedures for ticket operations and customer service. 
• Communicates sales plans and related data to senior leadership and external partners. 
• Provides operational support for post season games and manages post season ticket allocation to bowls. 
• Conducts market research to determine ticket price recommendations. 
• Builds and manages seating and parking plans for athletic venues. 
• Hires, trains, leads, and mentors staff and student workers. 
• Coordinates the work assignment and supervision of gate monitors. 
• Ensures all assigned tasks are in compliance with department, University, Southeastern Conference, and NCAA rules and regulations. 
• Performs similar or related duties as assigned or required. 

Essential Functions

These essential functions include, but are not limited to, the following. Additional essential functions may be identified and included by the hiring department.

1. Directs ticket office operations and related game day management activities.
2. Develops, implements, and manages sales plans for ticketed sports.
3. Provides supervision, guidance and feedback to support staff.
4. Provides resolution to customer complaints or problems for season ticket holders and other customers.
5. Establishes and implements policies and procedures for ticket operations and customer service.
6. Conducts market research to determine ticket price recommendations.

Minimum Education/Experience

Education:  Bachelor's Degree

Experience: 3 Years Experience including supervisory experience

 

An equivalent combination of related experience and education may be considered for this role. Substitutions of the required experience or education will be assessed on a 1:1 substitution basis.

Preferred Qualifications

Four (4) years of experience related to the above described duties
