Job Title: PhlebotomistJob Description We are seeking a dedicated phlebotomist to join our dynamic team. This role involves traditional phlebotomy duties, including extensive processing, centrifuging, and specimen splitting. A strong emphasis is placed on customer service and data entry using the LabCorp Touch system. The candidate will be responsible for entering orders, performing blood draws, and focusing on draws approximately 70% of the time. Responsibilities + Perform blood draws on patients of all ages. + Process and ship specimens efficiently. + Enter orders and confirm patient information accurately. + Provide excellent customer service and handle data entry tasks. + Clean and restock the work area regularly. + Communicate effectively with doctor offices. + Participate in a two-week training program covering entering and processing procedures. Essential Skills + Proven experience in phlebotomy. + Proficiency in centrifuge operations. + Strong data entry and customer service skills. + Ability to perform venipuncture and blood draws efficiently. + Experience in medical record management and patient collection. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Completion of CPT and BLS certifications. + Experience with geriatric and pediatric patients is preferred. + One year of active phlebotomy experience is highly desirable. Work Environment The position is based in a busy patient service center with potential coverage changes from 6 AM to 6 PM. The role involves standing for about 50% of the time and working alongside another phlebotomist. The candidate must be open to floating across five different locations, including Mission Viejo, Laguna Hills, Rancho Santa Margarita, San Clemente, Foothill Ranch, and Laguna Beach. The laboratory and medical environment requires flexibility and adaptability. Training will be conducted in Wildomar, Tustin, and Los Angeles, with accommodation provided if necessary. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $25.17 - $25.17/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
