We are specifically looking for an Afternoon/Part-time Teacher Assistant to join our team. Available Schedule Options * 11:00 am - 5:30/6:00 pm * 1:00 pm - 5:30/6:00 pm * 2:00 pm - 5:30/6:00 pm What We Offer * Competitive pay ($14-16/hour, depending on experience and qualifications) * Extremely affordable health insurance including medical, dental and vision benefits (costs as low as $32/paycheck; at least 30 hours/week work commitment required) * Prioritized focus on your professional development - including Child Development Associate (at no cost to you) and support to pursue Associates or Bachelors degrees * Paid training opportunities to meet annual training hours requirement * SIMPLE IRA retirement plan with up to 3% company match General Qualifications * Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. in connection with the handling of children for the facilitation of programs, child safety, and potential emergency situations; for Infant and Young Toddler Teachers, must be able to properly lift infants into and out of a crib * High school diploma required * A valid CPR/First-aid certification required * Prior experience at a licensed child care center highly desired * Works productively without supervision * Shows empathy and compassion for young children * Is dependable and adaptable and enjoys working together toward a common goal * Excellent verbal and written communication skills with outstanding ability to listen and follow-up on issues constructively * Ability to calmly address stressful situations professionally while multi-tasking to ensure smooth school operations Primary Job Responsibilities Our assistant teachers will work with a lead teacher as part of the teaching team to encourage a positive learning environment for all children within the School. Responsibilities include the following: * Be reliable and dependable * Caring and nurturing personality with a pleasant disposition * Establish and maintain a safe, healthy, and nurturing learning environment * Assist the Lead Teacher with curriculum implementation and classroom management * Support each child’s social and emotional development * Establish positive and effective family relations About Goddard Schools The Goddard School located in Pflugerville, TX has been open since 2009.
