The Dog Wizard is a dog training franchise that has been in business for 18 years. It's Not Magic. It's Dog Training Done Right! The Dog Wizard offers basic obedience, puppy, behavior modification training through Board & Trains, Private Lessons, and Classes and are highly successful with providing results with all kinds of behavior issues including separation anxiety and aggression. We offer lifetime support for the life of the dog.

 
We are seeking a qualified candidate to manage our Sarasota location who is results driven, is true to their word, honest, ethical and accountable for mistakes. This person must have experience in the Pet Care, Pet Services and/or Dog Training sector.

This candidate must have excellent communication skills to aid in sales and team development and lives in or willing to relocate near Sarasota, Florida.

Specific responsibilities include:

• Work with The Dog Wizard team to implement training to standard.
• Identifying issues and problem-solving to address challenges swiftly.
• Conduct evaluations with potential clients and their dogs in the selection of appropriate service to achieve desired training outcome.
• Oversee sold training programs including group classes, private lessons, and board and train services for quality and customer satisfaction.
• Lead a staff of 4-12 professional dog trainers and kennel technicians, building a positive team atmosphere whereby achievements of clients result in overall success of the business.
• Assist in developing, and maintaining community relationships through attending events, scheduling lunch and learns with local businesses, and building brand awareness by training in the community.
• Assist in maintaining and strengthening client relationships.
• Building the quality reputation of The Dog Wizard through word-of-mouth referrals, online reviews, and delivering on the expected goals for training.

Experience:

• Dog Training experience is preferred. Successful completion of training at The Dog Wizard Academy is mandatory. (The company pays for the academy cost of training 100% if the employee remains employed with the company for one year).
